It’s conference season! As we wind down from an exceptional week at The Beryl Institute Patient Experience Conference 2017, we’re already looking forward to the next major event of the season: AONE 2017. We’ll be exhibiting there this week in BOOTH # 562 and are looking forward to connecting with thousands of nursing leaders as we support their mission of providing outstanding and compassionate care.
Nurses are the backbone of healthcare and consistently recognized as the most trusted profession. In fact, 2016 marked the 15th straight year in a row that nurses held the number one spot in Gallup’s annual honestly and ethics standards poll. Of those responding, 84 percent scored nurses as very high/high; that compares to the next highest ranking of pharmacists at 67 percent—quite a gap. And for good reason. Nurses are generally the front line of contact and compassion for patients in healthcare facilities ranging from hospitals to outpatient clinics. They’re consistently focused on the patient experience and ensuring that every patient receives the care and attention they need during times when they’re at their most vulnerable.
AONE has been representing nurse leaders for half a century, something they will be celebrating during this year’s conference. Their membership represents the top tier of leadership at healthcare organizations around the country—truly an exceptionally educated and experienced consortium.

It’s interesting to note that AONE’s anniversary corresponds to a similar milestone for the Baltimore Orioles—50 seasons ago the Orioles achieved their first World Series title. On March 30th, after the first full day of conference sessions, a President’s Welcome Reception will be held at historic Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
Last week we offered attendees of #PX2017 some tips for how to get the most out of the conference. The same general tips apply to attendees of this year’s AONE event.
We’re looking forward to another great week of renewing past acquaintances, making new ones and learning from a broad range of passionate nursing leaders. Hope to see you there in booth 562!
